Who It's Perfect For

Axe throwing scratches the same itch for a lot of different groups — here's the usual lineup.

Hen & Stag Dos

Easily the most-booked use case. Competitive, photogenic, very different from the usual hen/stag fare — and the ThrowDown Pro leaderboard makes for great group banter (and gloating rights for weeks).

Date Nights & Couples

Way more memorable than another dinner-and-cinema. An hour of axe throwing, a leaderboard between the two of you, and food and drink available before or after if you're making it a proper night out.

Birthdays

From mid-teens up. We've hosted plenty of memorable birthday throws — and you can pair the session with a Rage Room before or after for an even bigger day.

Team Building & Corporate

Kent businesses use our axe lanes for team away-days, end-of-quarter releases and onboarding socials. Sessions run cleanly inside an hour so you can build the rest of your day around it.

Why Rage Out for Axe Throwing

A few reasons our axe lanes are different from a thrown-together activity bolt-on elsewhere.

Most "axe throwing in Kent" results you'll find online are tacked-on activities at venues built for something else — a side room at a bowling alley, an outdoor cage at an activity centre. We were built for rage and axe throwing first. Same venue that hosts Kent's first Rage Rooms, same team that's run thousands of sessions, same 4.9-star average across over 1,110 Google reviews.

Every lane runs ThrowDown Pro — the live scoring app most rage and axe venues haven't bothered with. It tracks each throw, totals up rounds, and gives your group a leaderboard you can scroll through afterwards. Genuinely changes the dynamic from "fun activity" to "competitive evening" in a way a chalk scoreboard can't.

Sessions are 60 minutes — long enough to take you from "never thrown an axe before" to "actually pretty good at this", coached the whole way through. Suitable for 1 to 16 people, ages 8 and over, minimum height 1.4m. Solo throwers, hen and stag parties, corporate team builds and date nights all welcome — see Group Bookings for parties of 10 or more, where we set aside dedicated time and lanes.

Food and drink can be added before or after at extra cost — handy if you're driving in from Tunbridge Wells, Canterbury, Medway or anywhere else in Kent and want to make a proper outing of it. Our 89 Bank Street, Maidstone venue is a 5-minute walk from both Maidstone East and West stations, and direct trains run from London Victoria and Cannon Street.

Arrive at our venue and check in at reception. Confirm names, sign waivers if you haven't already, and we'll show you to your lane.

2. Safety Briefing

A quick rundown of the cage, the line, and the basic rules — short, clear, and pitched right whether you've thrown before or never picked one up.

3. Coaching Throws

Your host walks you through grip, stance and release. A handful of practice throws to find your range, plus tips on different techniques if your first throws aren't sticking.

4. ThrowDown Pro Rounds

Fire up the live scoring, run rounds against your group, watch the leaderboard climb. Plenty of time inside the hour for a real competition with a real winner.

5. Wind Down

What Our Customers Say

4.9 stars from over 1,110 Google reviews — here are a few of our favourites.

★★★★★
"It was my first time axe throwing and I feel it will now be a recurring outing with the lads. The cost was great and we all had a lot of fun, so much that the hour was up in what felt like 20 minutes. Paul and the rest of the staff were really knowledgeable about alternate throw techniques. 100% recommended."
John Plackett Google
★★★★★
"A brilliant place to bring family or friends — such a fun atmosphere and everyone is having a laugh. Amy was a brilliant and friendly host. Her safety talk was fun and informative, made you feel like a friend instead of a customer. Will definitely be coming back again."
